Three Pastoral Temptations, or Three Ways You Can Pray for Your Pastor

Paul Tripp transparently describes three temptations that confront pastors.

  1. I let pastoral ministry become my identity.
  2. I let biblical literacy and theological knowledge define my maturity.
  3. I confuse ministry success with God’s endorsement of my living.

If you serve as an elder in a church, these expound dangers we must avoid. If you want to serve your pastor, take time regularly to pray that God’s grace will enable him to fight these sins.
