A co-worker of mine, Karen, and her husband Allen are in the Philippines this week, seeking to serve folks who endured the major typhoon a couple of weeks ago. Allen’s parents are missionaries near Legazpi, the hardest hit area of the island nation. Since Allen and Karen arrived, the nation endured yet another typhoon, though this one did not hit them directly. They’ve been blogging about their experiences and have posted some pictures of the destruction. The images are stunning, the loss is unimaginable, and the testimony of the believers is beautiful. As you have opportunity, please remember these brothers and sisters before the Throne. May God give them grace so that their faith would not fail but instead be used to magnify the greatness of their Savior.
