Reformation Resources

If you’d like to learn more about the Reformation, here are three great resources to get you started:

  • The movie “Luther” is a relatively brief, historically accurate presentation of the key events in the life of the reformer (Amazon|Netflix).
  • If you’d rather read a biography of Luther’s life, the classic presentation is Roland Bainton’s Here I Stand.
  • For a brief history of the Reformation, I suggest you pick up Michael Reeves’ The Unquenchable Flame: Discovering the Heart of the Reformation (Amazon|WTS).

Michael Reeves’ book is great! Have you read Bainton’s book, Matt? Is it hard reading? I actually saw it in the library recently and almost checked it out, but I was too intimidated by the size (shame on me!). 🙂 I’m just curious if I was intimidated for no reason!
