In our passage Jesus makes an incredibly bold statement, a prediction of such triumph and victory that, were he to fail, would prove him a fraud.

Yet at the very point that he pronounces such sure victory, he tells us something very surprising. Triumph doesn’t always look like we think it will.

Listen to Jesus tell us how he will fulfill his triumphant prediction through the most surprising of means, so that we too might follow his example.
