We’re looking forward to worshiping together this weekend! Here’s a look ahead to what’s heading our way.
Tonight at 6pm: Prayer Room with Trinity Grace UWS
Trinity Grace Westside is hosting an open prayer meeting in our building tonight from 6pm until midnight, and our congregation is invited to attend. Come for whatever part of that night works for you, and join in prayer to God for an outpouring of His Spirit on our neighborhood.
Sunday at 9.45am: Sunday School
Sunday at 10.40am: Pre-service prayer meeting
Sunday at 11am: Sunday worship service
Here are the songs we plan to sing:
- “A Mighty Fortress is Our God”
- “How Great is Our God”
- “Come, My Soul, with Every Care”
- “Amazing Grace”
- “Speak, O Lord”
- “Across the Lands”
These songs and more can be found on our free Spotify playlist.
The sermon text will be Isaiah 51.17–52.6.
It was a delight to welcome four more new members into our congregation last Sunday. They are Annie B., Gabriela G., Paul O., and Shawn R. Welcome to the family! Be sure to greet these new members after the service. While you’re at it, invite them to lunch!
Annual Meeting results
Thank you to all the members who participated in last Sunday’s Annual Meeting. The Lord blessed our time with great discussion, unity, and focus as we prepare to follow our King this year. Here is a summary of the voting results:
- Deacon: Nick P., Nic J., Winston J. (one-year term)
- Trustee: Elsie C., Cameron D., Brian R.
- Clerk: Daniel K.
Both proposed by-law amendments fell short of the two-thirds vote needed for ratification. And if you are a member and unable to attend the Annual Meeting, please see Larry J. for a copy of the 2015 financial report and/or the 2016 budget.
New Members Class
We are making plans for our next New Members Class. If you are interested in participating, please email Daniel K. at info at firstnyc dot org.
What’s your birthday?
Chrisanne K. is updating our database of members’ birthdays. Could you please help? Just look for her after the service to make sure that we have your correct information. And don’t worry— you don’t have to share your birth year.
